Visit Sites.Google.com and create a test website

Publish the site so that others can see it.

Register a custom domain using a domain registrar such as Cloudflare or NameCheap. Configure DNS to point to ghs.googlehosted.com

Test everything out and see if it works. Make changes and observe the behavior.
